Not sure if this is bug about JRWorker.exe
« on: November 17, 2010, 01:16:20 am »

When I disable all features including video and clear library files to reload library with auto import, program still tries to analyze video files with JRWorker and import library regardless of video being disabled. My video files format are AVI, MP4 and MKV. I think JRWorker shouldn't run or import any video files with Video disabled.

Double check your autoimport options.

From what I check, it doesn't have any video format associated. Looks like search for files feature in MC15 activates JRWorker before auto-import can take action. I tried removing JRWorker.exe file and auto import works a lot sooner.

Removing jrworker.exe will lead bad places.  It does a lot of things, most of which are essential.

You'll need to reinstall to fix that.

I found JRWorker manages DirectShow and video related stuff. But without fixing video scan even video feature is disabled and no video files in auto-import. I can only hope for its removal.

JRWorker.exe does a lot more than just deal with video files.  If you remove it, many features of MC will be broken, including things like analyzing audio and saving tags to files.

If it is importing video files, you must have them in your Auto-Import search paths, or they are already imported and you need to remove them.  I'd suggest you turn the Video features back on, so that you can see and remove the files in question from the database.  Then, make sure to UNCHECK all of the video related file types from EVERY SINGLE FOLDER you have listed in the Auto-Import setup.  Keep in mind, each folder has it's own set of file types that it searches for, so you need to edit this for each folder listed in the auto-import setup dialog.

Once you get that all done, you can then go back in and turn off the Video functions.

Thank you. It appears to save other types in configuration even they're turned off.  ;D
