I have a back-up copy of the old C:\Program Files folder from before the reformat.  My full C-drive back-up was on my unaffected external G-drive, so I didn't lose any data at all.  After I reinstall MJ8, can I restore my old settings, media library DB, registration and plug-ins by simply copying the back-up folder contents for MJ8 into the newly reinstalled MJ8 folder?  I don't know how MJ8 stores this info, but if it's inside the program folder, maybe I can get MJ8 up and running again with minimal pain.  Any help/suggestions appreciated.

maybe, as long as the data is for the same version your running yoou should not have a problem.

The back-up folder is for MJ8 version 8.0.388

I don't think this is the currently available version for download.  Are previous version still available?  I could update after I get back my old configuration.  Or (better yet) are the differences between the most recent downloadable version and my back-up so small as to not be a deal-killer?

the Library format is the same it should work fine.
