On screen volume control
« on: December 06, 2010, 09:50:05 pm »

Is there some way to disable the onscreen volume control. In theater view, it flickers horribly. If it didn't do that, I wouldn't mind it. I think that maybe the volume control belongs to Girder but I am not sure. If it is, and this is inappropriate, i will be glad to repost in the Promixis forums....I just know there are a lot of people here that use Girder and thought that maybe someone had encountered this here. Either way, thanks!

Media Center shows a volume display in Display View (Ctrl+3) but not Theater View.

So if you're seeing a flickering overlay in Theater View, I don't think it's from JRiver.

It does.

You can disable Girder's Volume Control stuff by turning off the Audio Mixer plugin (File -> Settings -> Plugins).  There might be a way to disable just the OSD for the Volume Control, but not the Volume Control functions themselves, but I'm not sure.

I have my volume buttons mapped to the Keyboard Master Volume Up/Down keypresses, and it works fine without the audio mixer plugin.
