"server could not find files" error
« on: December 09, 2010, 09:15:50 am »

Hello all --

Library server seems to be "forgetful" lately... I get an error relatively often that says that the server couldn't find the files and I should check that the files are in right location and so on. Here's what's weird about it:
- if I disconnect and reconnect, sometimes I can get previously unplayable files to play (but previously playable files throw the error)
- if I go to the library server, it's got no issues playing any of the files

It does seem to happen more often when I connect from a remote location (i.e. work), so maybe the issue is not so much that the library server couldn't find the files, but more like the connection hiccuped and it thinks the server couldn't find the files?

I'm on build 159 (server & client). Thanks!
Micah

163 is on the MC15 board.  Please try it.  WAV files weren't working for a few builds.

OK, sounds good, I'll grab it. I'm at work now, so if I have a newer build as the client, will that be problematic?

I'm not listening to WAVs, fyi -- exclusively MP3s because my server at home is an older machine and I don't want to overload it by having it encode on the fly.

Thanks -
