left click carry playlist --> mess
« on: December 11, 2010, 04:18:06 pm »

I left-clicked and wanted to move a playlist to the desktop. I assumed that a copy of the playlist would be created on the desktop. Instead, all files in the playlist are moved (not even copied) to the desktop and the library links are broken too. This is clearly not desired behavior and it is pretty dangerous and there is no undo. Fortunately, my playlist contained 40 files and I will fix it manually.

Media Center drag-n-drop includes system compatible files.  This allows dragging from Media Center to other programs.

The Windows desktop accepts file drops and moves files.  It might have been smarter for Microsoft to ask when you drop more than some number of files, but they didn't ask me.

Hmm, yeah, I understand the issue. So,the bad behavior is on Windows side and can't be fixed within MC. Unfortunate.
