Hi Res DLNA renderer
« on: December 24, 2010, 05:34:23 pm »

Not sure I've got the right description here but I'm looking for a DNLA client or renderer to allow me to play 24/96 and maybe 24/192 flac files in my lounge into a DAC while my mc15 machine sits in the study. I control mc using a iPad quite happily.

Ok I can place a pc in the lounge but I've got too much kit in there already. I do have an old mac mini in the lounge which I've successfully used airfoil on before but that's limited to 16 bit. If there a bit software I could run on the mac that would turn it into a DNLA client then great though i do know the mini's limited to 24/96.

I'd also contemplate replacing my bluray player if it helped.

Regards and happy Christmas.

I think you might want a DLNA Renderer like the WD devices.

A Blu-ray player would not usually be a DLNA Renderer.
