Hi,
When trying to install version 8 or 9 the installatioin starts (unpacks files) then just dissapears. Windows 2k

I have tried rebooting. Installation still not working.

Sounds like a bad download(s). May not be relavent, but have you installed W2k Service Pack 3? Are you current on everything via Window Update? (such as IE fixes/SP's). Do you have plenty of free RAM and hard disk space?

more than adequate resources.
40 gig hd, 1 gig ram 1gig processor
Everything is up to date. Service pak 3
IE 6.0.2800

Read the posts contained here. There's a few to read, but the problem was a bad download (solution given, too). Could be what your experiencing.
