Harmony Remote - Requesting MCE Model #
« on: January 13, 2011, 12:53:49 pm »

I'm programming a harmoney remote for a friend and having issues.  When I did mine beleive I selected either computer or media pc then just selected microsft.  With the new software it's asking for a model number (I presume its the model number of the remote).  They give an example MCE-1039.  Whichever example they gave we tried and it doesn't work.  He has a generic media pc remote so there is no model number we can reference.

If anybody has any experience with the latest software I'd like to get your thoughts.  We're not stuck on microsoft but I know HP makes one as well.  We're also not excited about the idea of bringing my remote over and teaching it each command as there are several.

Thanks.

What model Harmony do you have and is the remote you want to duplicate IR or RF.
Depending on what you have I may be able to help as i have used a Snapstream Firefly (RF) and Hauppauge MC remote (IR) before.
