MC and Mini Mac
« on: January 28, 2011, 09:32:15 pm »

I have a Apple Mini Mac laying around and wondering if I could use this as a dedicated playout server for MC?

Would it be possible to map a USB media drive connected to the Mini Mac so MC could do the media management and then use MC to control the playout?

Regards,

You would need to run Windows on it.

or if you have MC already running on a server somewhere, drop XBMC on the mac and use DLNA (UPnP)
Not ried it for a while, but it used to work at least as a client, never tried remote controlling it.

MC allows you to customize the "Views" or the actual menu that you get via DLNA and makes the library management so much easier.
