I'm running MC 15.0.172.
I have it set to download several podcasts, and only retain the 2 newest of each podcast.
On my device, I am finding that it keeps duplicating the same mp3 files over and over for each of the podcasts, renaming them with a "(1)" ... "(2)" ... etc in the filename. This eventually sucks up several gigs of space on the device. In once case, it had make over 50 copies of the same podcast file!

For example, the Hanselminutes podcast directory:

-----
R:\MUSIC\Podcast\Hanselminutes>dir
Volume in drive R is SANSA VIEW
 Volume Serial Number is 14A4-9115

 Directory of R:\MUSIC\Podcast\Hanselminutes

I think it is copying the files over and over as fast as USB can transfer them, because everything responds terribly slowly on that drive. Even just listing that dir above takes seconds to actually happen, since the USB is fairly saturated.

Has anyone seen this before?

It might be worth mentioning that I have MC installed in 'portable' mode, right only my device. Then I plug in my device and use it like an external USB hard drive, and run MC from there.

Double check your time and date settings on both sides.

The date and time on the computer are accurate, and is within a minute of what my cell phone says too.

Did this issue get sorted? I have recently downloaded and installed the portable version MC15, running from a portable usb drive, and have exactly the same issue. Hundreds of duplicate files are created. Watching the download progress I notice it jumps from COMPLETEDto INQUEUE and just keeps cycling through. Unless I shut down MC or remove all my podcast subscriptions it keeps going.

It has been a long time since I used MC15 (since opening it causes it to do this duplicate download thing and fill my drive), but I came back to it today and found something new:

1) If I set the podcasts to download 'only items i select' then this doesn't happen. Which is really pretty obvious that it wouldn't since it won't try to download.

2) If I select a podcast to download, SOMETIMES (not always) that podcast will download, and be written to disk. However it won't show up in the "downloaded podcasts" screen. Then if I flip back to the podcast screen, that one I just downloaded has the 'download' link/button next to it again.  It basically looks like it downloads it, but then doesn't detect that it is downloaded and in place. Or perhaps it gets downloaded but not actually added to the library? It is strange...

I have this issue as well using a personal RSS feed from MP3Tunes. There could be hundreds of "episodes" in this one feed but MC16 seems incapable of determining whether or not an episode has already been downloaded. I don't have this problem with other feeds yet I'm not usually dealing with feeds with literally hundreds of "episodes". I invite a direct response from JRiver developers as I'm confident the problem can be duplicated and would like to share this personal feed with them.
