I Have Been Following This Throughout The Day, Most Recent Reports, Are Not Looking Good.

I Just Read On A Few Most Recent Reports, That 6 Reactors Now Have Lost Cooling, And Went From 1.5 Times The Presser, To 2 Times The Pressure.

This Sounds Like 3 Mile Island X 6

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Mile_Island_accident

Dateline Just Came On, And It Is Going To Cover This Story, Along With The Planed Story..

I Also Am Kind Of Wondering Of North Korea, And If There Were Issues There, That We Might Not Find out Until It Is Rather Involved With Another Disaster.

New This Morning On The Situation Is Looking Bleak

(CNN) -- An explosion sent white smoke rising above a nuclear plant where a massive earthquake and tsunami crippled cooling systems in northeastern Japan, the country's chief Cabinet secretary said Saturday.

Four workers were injured after the blast at the Fukushima Daiichi plant, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano told reporters. It was not immediately clear where the blast occurred inside the plant, or what caused it.

The roof of a reactor at the plant collapsed following the explosion around 3:30 p.m., Japan's Kyodo News Agency reported, citing Tokyo Electric Power Company.

An explosion at an earthquake-damaged nuclear plant was not caused by damage to the nuclear reactor but by a pumping system that failed as crews tried to bring the reactor's temperature down, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano said Saturday.

So Now All The Connections And Piping Are Damaged Beyond Repair Due To The explosion

The next step for workers at the Fukushima Daiichi plant will be to flood the reactor containment structure with sea water to bring the reactor's temperature down to safe levels, he said. The effort is expected to take two days.

This Sounds More Like An Experiment Rather Than A Viable Way To Lower The Reactor Temp.

I Don't Believe Anything That Officials Are Saying.

"They are working furiously to find a solution to cool the core, and this afternoon in Europe we heard that they have begun to inject sea water into the core," said Mark Hibbs, a senior associate at the Nuclear Policy Program for the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. "That is an indication of how serious the problem is and how the Japanese had to resort to unusual and improvised solutions to cool the reactor core."

I Also Found This:

The explosion was caused by hydrogen interacting with oxygen outside the reactor. The hydrogen was formed when the superheated fuel rods came in contact with water being poured over it to prevent a meltdown.

[9:54 p.m. EST, 11:54 a.m. Tokyo] A meltdown may have occurred at at least one nuclear power reactor in Japan, the country's chief cabinet secretary, Yukio Edano, said Sunday.

He also said that authorities are concerned over the possibility of another meltdown at a second reactor.

"We do believe that there is a possibility that meltdown has occurred. It is inside the reactor. We can't see. However, we are assuming that a meltdown has occurred," he said of the No. 1 reactor at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear facility. "And with reactor No. 3, we are also assuming that the possibility of a meltdown as we carry out measures."

A Japanese English News Service

http://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/

From What I Have Gathered, There Was A Meltdown Of Some Rods Of I Think Plant #1, The Rods Were Exposed For A Few Hours, And They Melted, And May Have Went Thru The Bottom Of The Containment Cylinder.

It Also Seems That They Made A Decision That They Can Not Recover The Plant's To Put It Back Into Use At A Later Date.

I Am Wondering What They Are Going To Do With Them, Is It Just Going To Set There For The Next 1,000 Years Or Are They Going To Recover The Uranium And Move It To A Disposal Area.

I Know All This Information Is Ongoing, And Always Changing.

Toshiba Builds 100x Smaller Micro Nuclear Reactor

Toshiba has developed a new class of micro size Nuclear Reactors that is designed to power individual apartment buildings or city blocks. The new reactor, which is only 20 feet by 6 feet, could change everything for small remote communities, small businesses or even a group of neighbors who are fed up with the power companies and want more control over their energy needs.

The 200 kilowatt Toshiba designed reactor is engineered to be fail-safe and totally automatic and will not overheat. Unlike traditional nuclear reactors the new micro reactor uses no control rods to initiate the reaction. The new revolutionary technology uses reservoirs of liquid lithium-6, an isotope that is effective at absorbing neutrons. The Lithium-6 reservoirs are connected to a vertical tube that fits into the reactor core. The whole whole process is self sustaining and can last for up to 40 years, producing electricity for only 5 cents per kilowatt hour, about half the cost of grid energy.

Toshiba expects to install the first reactor in Japan in 2008 and to begin marketing the new system in Europe and America in 2009.

There was an explosion at unit 2

workers are being evacuated, about 50 workers remain

TEPCO thinks explosion at unit 2 may be related to damage at suppression pool, where blast was heard.

the suppression pool is the part that surrounds the reactor.

Radio Activity Is Up At #2, 3 times the amount a person would get in one year

Rods are still out of water 2+ meters

Pressure Is Down

if this is true There may be a crack in the reactor.

There was damage found on the containment building of reactor 4

it is going to rain in japan today, this could take radio activity particles out of the air and wash it unto the land, and the people of japan.

Flight crews of the US aircraft carriers, have been exposed to Radio Activity when flying thru japans air space.

the aircraft carriers have been relocated.

North Wind is expected, this could carry contaminated air thru the northern part of japan, the wind was west to east for the past few days (that was a good thing).

Fire Reported At #4 Reactor

I Still Think Nuclear Is Good.

You Need To Consider These Plants Are 40 Years Old.

There Has Been Allot Of Advancements Since Then.

The United States, Since 9\11 Has Upgraded Backup Systems For This Very Reason.

It May Be A Good Idea To Have More Than One Backup System However, As We Can See This Is Not Working out in Japan.

Also this is the first time i have heard they expanded the area to 30Km (thats 30 X .62 = thats 18.6 miles)

6.4 In Shizuoka Prefecture, This Is South Of Tokyo A Few Mins Ago.

It lasted like 10 seconds, no major damage

This Is About 150-180 Miles South Of Where The tsunami Was, and where the nuclear reactors are.

There Was A Fire At #4 Reactor Today.

Then They Said It Was Not Visible Anymore An Hour Later.

(Breaking News) Now More Smoke Is Coming From The #4 Plant.

The Japanese Government Has Injected Over 330 Billion Since Monday. This Is 1.5 Hrs Into Wednesdays Stock Market Opening.

Stock Prices Are Down For Power Companies.

Other Stock Is Up About 5%

The IAEA Said They Want More Information From The Japanese Government About What Is Going On At The Nuclear Plants.

There Has Been A Few Nuclear Experts That Say That This Event Is Now Worse Than 3 Mile Island.

I have an idea that the head of nuclear power in japan will lose his job soon.

also note that in recent years these power plants have had there problems with compliance.

It Just Gets Worse And Worse

#4 Reactor Building Is All Burnt Up.

1. Lesson Learned: Don't Keep Spent Reactor Fuel Laying Around

Quote
Tokyo- (PanOrient News) The situation at the quake-hit Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant in northeastern Japan "has worsened considerably and might reach the worst level on an international scale of zero to seven, according to U.S. think tank.

The Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS) said in a statement that the current situation "is now closer to a level 6, and it may unfortunately reach a level 7."

[11:40 a.m. ET Wednesday, 12:40 a.m. Thursday in Tokyo] Japan's central bank made an additional 13.8 trillion yen ($170 billion) available to money markets Wednesday to cushion the country's banking system from the shock of Friday's earthquake and tsunami, Kyodo News reported. That brings the Bank of Japan's  emergency funding total to 55.6 trillion yen ($688 billion), Kyodo said.

I Have Been Deep Sea Fishing, Clamming, And Crabbing.

My Nephew Is A Captain Of A Scallop Boat, In New Jersey.

He Works Too Much.

As A Side Note:

The wreck of a German submarine has been discovered - and kept secret for two years - by the Dutch Navy.

The World War I vessel was uncovered during hydrographical research in October 2009 and kept secret while German authorities confirmed the identification and relatives of those killed on board were traced.

The U-boat was found by HNLMS Snellius, which was engaged in charting the sea some 40 miles north of Terschelling island. It was hoped that the unidentified object on the sea floor was Dutch submarine O-13 which went missing in June 1940, but a closer investigation revealed that the submarine was much older.

War memorial
A brass ID plate on an air vessel on board the wreck identified the submarine as Germany's U-106, which sank sometime before 1918 during World War I,

A Navy spokesperson said that the submarine will not be lifted, being left on the sea bed instead and given an official war memorial status.

Huge nets.  The by-catch (and waste) is about 20 lbs per 1 lb of shrimp.  Enjoy your shrimp taco.  'Course it might not even be meat.
