Problem with moving audio files using CUE sheets
« on: March 16, 2011, 01:12:29 pm »

I'm using a single flac with a cue to specify where the tracks are. When I import to MC, I see the flac file as well as all the enumerated tracks from the cue. E.g.

MyAlbum.flac
MyAlbum.flac;1
MyAlbum.flac;2
MyAlbum.flac;3

Now, if I select these entries, and do a Rename, Move and Copy, the dialog shows that all of them will be moved to the new location. Click OK and MC updates the library and shows the new location and deletes the old location (as expected.) However, on the file system, only the flac file has moved to the new location. The old location still exists along with the cue file. The library now shows:

NewDir/MyAlbum.flac
NewDir/SongName1.flac
NewDir/SongName2.flac
NewDir/SongName3.flac

The individual tracks no longer play (they don't exist as files) and MC has lost track of the cue file.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug?

I noticed this in the past, best way to avoid it is to use separate tracks instead of cues
