You need to promote 8.
« on: June 06, 2002, 06:42:47 am »

I just went to CNET to see if they had featured MJ 8.0 on their download site or a review.  they have neither.  Instead, they have a new version of musicmatch on the top of their download screen (with the opinion in their review not to buy it!)

We all know 8.0 is the greatest.  The only thing I could even think of adding would be support for Winamp visualizations (please!).  If you did that MJ would be unstoppable.

But you need to get the word out there.  Im sure when it comes up on cnet, we all can post positive reviews and surely they wouldd recommend it as a must buy.  Let us know when that will happen.

thanks!

Thanks, Dave.  It should be there in a couple of days.

User reviews there are always appreciated!  http://download.com.com/3302-2167-8480616.html?tag=lst

We're putting out our press release today.  We couldn't do it until we were sure 8.0 was solid.

I read Some Of The Latest Comments Sounds Like A Few Want To Bash MJ. And I See No Reason Why

One Was Lack Of Support And I Could Not Believe That Since JimH Spends His Off Time On Here Helping Others Get Over There System Problems And Yes Some MJ Problems, That Normally Get Fixed In A Day Or Two If It Can Be Reproduced.

I posted my review today, but it will take a day or two to show up.
If anyone would care to join me on CNet maybe we can push some of
those "cranky" reviews further down the list.

MJ 8.0 will appear on CNet in a day or so. If you feel inclined to write a review, please hold off until you see 8.0 listed. CNet usually deletes any old reviews once a new version is officially released on their site.

Thanks for the support.

Do not worry about the negative opinions
About ANY program there is always this stupid people:look like they spend they life trying new programs and reformating
When you read they posts, you even wonder if they know about reformat
Will wait until 8 on Cnet to post an opinion
But be sure that the ones who gave a try using a crack and being stuck will post very negative opinions
In an other hand,as we saw on Interact, many
bought MJ after using a crack.
This speaks for itself much more than some mongoloides on Cnet

After reading the current comments on CNet, I decided to post a review too.  Fortunately, I haven't have any of the difficulties mentioned in the "negative" reviews (well, the shutdown problem but that's small potatos). Still, the overall CNET rating is very positive.

Some of the negative stuff there is pretty outrageous. It was pretty obvious who put up at least one of those posts. When they finally open up 8.0 to reviews, we'll have to set the record straight.

Please oh please, just make sure you can backup your comments with proof or it could turn into a real fiasco.

KingSparta,

Great review on CNet!  You used your jab effectively and got in a couple
of jaw cracking uppercuts.  A definite knockout
