Question about WASAPI Event-Style
« on: March 30, 2011, 02:50:46 pm »

Can anyone tell me (Matt) , is the event style mostly written and intended for use with asynchronous USB DACs?

We started down the path of Event Style because of problems with USB DACs and regular WASAPI.  However, WASAPI - Event Style is useful for any hardware that supports it.

Thanks Matt. My Ayre Q-B9  has never worked better than with JR 16 and the event style. I used to have an occasional skip or stutter with the original WASAPI. Not any more. I'm just using your default and recommended settings. They seem perfect to me. Never sounded better. Russ
