We use MC here day in, day out, in WASAPI mode under Windows 7. Just installed an ART Legato USB-S/PDIF interface, which appears properly in Windows, plays the control panel/speaker properties applet test tone, and also functions with Windows Media Player.

However, when used with MC, although the file appears to stream (the time counter and spectrum analyzer are moving along with the music), and the DAC syncs (Weiss DAC 202), there's no audible output.

I understand that the Legato is 44.1/16 only, and force the 16 bit setting, but still no joy. Who else is using the Legato with MC?

Problem solved:

The buffer size in MC Output format, etc., has to be 250 ms or less. The Legato doesn't like 500 ms.
