MP3 sound problem
« on: April 26, 2011, 12:18:49 pm »

When I Jump Forward or Backward in an mp3 audio, there is a noticeable audio glitch.  I've been trying to think of words that mimic the sound and its duration: "gulp", "thwip", "flup", "drip".  Of course, not all of these are words.

Can this noise be silenced?

I can't duplicate this.

How are you advancing the track?  What audio mode?

I've sent you a test file.  It is a 32kbs mp3 file.

I'm using WASPI event style.  The problem started with the new 64-bit mp3 handling.

I'm using Ctrl-Shift-Right to jump forward.

I could hear the problem.  We'll investigate.

Here's a recording of the clicks and pops.

It can also be reproduced by advancing the audio position indicator.

[ Edit: I see you posted just as I was.  Thanks. ]

Next build:
Fixed: MP3 playback could output a little hiccup on seek (only applies to last few builds).
