Just re-installed MJ8, Software says mp3 encoder is not installed do you want to download it now? I click yes and arrive at a webpage saying

"You don't have permission to access /mediajukebox/mj_data/plugins/enc_mp3.mjp on this server."

How do I resolve this please?

I wish I had an answer for you but I've got the exact same problem. I just did a fresh install of XP Pro, reinstalled MJ 8, renewed my license, but have the identical error. It's suppose it's possible that since it's an
old version that J River has just stopped supporting it. I don't know. I've kept this version a long time because it does what I want without offering too many needless bells and whistles.
