Bug in aspect ratio of videos in mp4/h.264/aac
« on: April 25, 2011, 05:06:23 am »

Hi,

I have videos in 4/3 native aspect ratio but MC show me forced in 16/9 aspect ratio. So the videos are deformed. This success for all my videos in 4/3 aspect ratio.
The program use the ffdshow (automatic mode).

I think this is a bug, in windows media player or kmplayer not success this.

Any solution?

Thank you!

There is a bug in the current version of MC that causes this, but this is a recent thing.  If you install build 16.0.68 or earlier, this issue goes away.  It has been reported by a number of people, and I'm sure they'll release a fix soon.

If you prefer not to wait (it might be a week or so), then you can download and install MC 16.0.64 from this thread over here.  You can just install the older build "over top" of the newer one, and it should work fine.  You'll lose the advances made in MC in between, obviously, but you'll also get your 4:3 media to work right.
