How can I get Media Center to stop playing videos
« on: May 01, 2011, 12:33:23 pm »

Video playback is very choppy, both audio and video. I can't seem to find the setting to get Media Center to leave video alone. I have set default in Win 7 to use a different player, but media center still starts when the dvd is in the drive. I just want it to handle audio files and leave the rest of my stuff alone. I have searched here and not found an answer.

I want media center to ignore video playback.

This is a Windows question.  Try googling "Autoplay" or "File Associations".

In MC options for filetypes, uncheck everything.
