Hi... I'm new to JRiver Media Center, so perhaps I'm missing something or making a mistake, but I'm hoping someone can help me.
MC playback as a DLNA Renderer is much louder than manual or webremote playback.
First, I have all my volume leveling setup just fine in MC. Everything works and plays back at the correct volume as specified by the replaygain tags in the files. MC version 16.0.87
I have MC setup to be configured as a DLNA renderer, meaning I'm using a DLNA controller to tell MC to play files, and I expect MC to play them and the sound to come out of MC (not the remote device.)
It does that - the remote device can browse the MC library and all, and can play tracks. However, the tracks do not play at the correct volume (they are generally much louder.) If I play a track using the MC interface it plays at one volume level, then if I immediately stop it and issue the play command from the remote device, MC starts playing it at a much higher volume level.
If I play it using the MC WebRemote functionality, it plays back at the correct volume level, just as if I was operating MC manually. It's only through DLNA that there's a problem.
This really makes the DLNA control not very useful. Am I missing a configuration setting somewhere, or is this a bug or limitation in the DLNA feature?
Searched all over, including through old versions of MC, but couldn't find anything on this issue. Thanks...
