Hi,

The subject says it all really.  Is it possible to use the Lookup Movie Info From Wikipedia feature and apply it to many files?  I have tried multi-selecting and right clicking one file but it only applies the results to the one I am right clicking on.

No.  That would be nice.  I think the long-term plan involves a lot more automation in the metadata lookup process for both Movies and TV Shows, but we're not there yet.  Some of the changes they want to implement likely won't happen in MC16, but will have to wait for a future version (there are other "fish to fry" right now).

Yeah... It doesn't take that long to do.  And, frankly, the search algorithm would have to get lots better anyway or you'd probably end up with a lot of incorrect data.  Once you get the "big batch" done, it doesn't take much effort to maintain the data for new videos as they come in.

TV Shows are the bigger problem.

TV shows.  Exactly what I'm doing.  3 seasons.  22 eps each.  I just want the same pretty pic and metadata that is on wikipedia for each episode.  If MC just recognized that I have 60 files selected and applied the info to each of those it would have saved me quite a few clicks.  This would be a pretty easy improvement to make I would think.  Anyway, all done now until the next DVD TV set I purchase.

I'll check out that AutoMeta as well.

worth giving pvdimport plugin a go, (requires pvd personal video database).  requires another program and another step, but very good outcome.  even if you just use it for the initial operation and use MC's built in tools after that.  see the plugin board.  rick.ca is very kind with help if you get stuck and this makes a big difference.
