Minor Netflix request re HD
« on: June 12, 2011, 09:32:22 pm »

"HD" always appears choppy on my HTPC via Theater View, but there doesn't appear to be a way to access the disable. Is that something that could be added to the OSD?

I'm also having this problem. Netflix plays smoothly when I access it via Firefox, but always stutters in MC.

You could try switching the browser engine that Media Center uses in Options > Tree & View.  It's possible the Silverlight engine will work better in one than the other.

I tried switching the engine, and it did play more smoothly, but now it doesn't go to full screen properly.  That is, i can still see the Netflix controls at the bottom and the image is postage-stamped.

I'm still having trouble with this: I thought one engine worked better but now I'm seeing choppiness in either. Plus in the chromium one I can see the Netflix controls, which is annoying but at least I can disable the HD.
