I haven't been able to find an answer to my question anywhere on the web site so here goes:

Will there be a separate (music only) product in the future, or is 8 the end of the line for that?

There are some interesting features in 9 which don't appear to be in 8 (like a docking tag editor), which I would like. I'm not sure if I want to pay for extra features I won't use if these features will be iin a future Jukebox version (MJ9?).

Tell you what...I just moved on to MC9 and without skins looks identical to v8. I would suggest just going with MC since there probably won't be much of a price difference between MC9 and MJ9 (especially right now with MC9 going for ~ $35). The video features (if you don't care for them) are unobtrusive as are all the features (yet still easy to get to).
