Peter Falk - Failing health and death

Falk died at his Beverly Hills home on June 23, 2011, at the age of 83

the actor had been suffering from dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

What a sad coincidence. I just completed my collection of Columbo movies last week. It was my favorite TV show as an adolescent.

I highly recommend seeing him in Wim Wenders' "Wings of Desire".  He plays himself (but in a quite unusual way...).  It's in German with English subtitles, FYI.

Agreed.  And Bruno Ganz was outstanding too.  A terrific movie.

Just added Wings of Desire to my movie collection. Reviews are very positive. I am looking forward to watching it. Thanks for the tip.
