not sure why but whenever i convert files from one lossless format to another it starts off fast (at 3 tracks simultaneously) then slows down to barely processing. It will finish a track then zip along to through the next one but at about halfway slow or stop. In task manager it shows MC16 at using only 2% cpu and little memory so its not a PC performance issue. (i have 8gb RAM and a newish 6core CPU)

I have just come back from lunch and its still not finished 4 albums started over an hour ago

any ideas please ?

EDIT: just noticed it gives not responding status  for a few seconds when you click the file conversion window and then it resumes processing (slowly)
