Did you try to rebuild the thumbnails: select files - context menu - cover art.

If this is not helping, add the field "image file" to a view with your files and check the values of the field (it should include the path to the image).

Yes, I did all that, no cover art. In the tags image file is also blank, I have no idea what is causing this.

I don't know what has happened, maybe somebody else could explain it.

A further attempt to fix it: Make up backup and then restore to a backup version before you have updated MC.

Please do the following:
 - Go to File - Library - Backup library and press okay (if mc asks you if the already existing file should be overwritten, press no. Then replace the file name by somthing else).
- After this go to File - library - restore backup and click on browse. You should see the folder with the backups. The files include the date of the backup. You should select the last version before you have updated mc. Press okay and check if the thumbnails are back.

Really weird.

Are you seeing NO thumbnails at all, or was custom cover art replaced with "normal" video grab thumbnails?

Hi Glynor

Its the custom cover art that is missing, still have the thumbnails, I have checked in the cover art folder, but it all seems to be missing from in there also, tried all the backups, but its all gone, I have automated nightly backup, so i`d backed up before I noticed it was missing, gutted 1500+ downloaded covers gone. I even tried a system restor, without any joy, I`m at a loss.

Hi Guys

I managed to find an old cover art folder from MC15, 90% upto date, spent the best part of the morning and afternoon getting the missing 10% back, lesson learned, will backup my cover art directory seperately to an external device. Would love to know where it all went in the first place though.

Thanks for all suggestions
