restoring licence on a new PC
« on: October 30, 2011, 09:31:12 am »

Hi all,

I have moved my library over to a new PC specifically build as a music server. Very impressed with the sound performance over my old laptop.
However I don't seem to be able to restore my new machine with the registration code from my old machine. I just get an error code saying its an invalid registration code, I have had the code re-sent to me and its deffinately the same code as the old PC. When I build the new machine I downloaded MC from the web onto the new PC ( so it is currently running under a trial period ) is this my problem because it is not a copy of my old one ?

The code is only good for a certain amount of time....

Q: I purchased a month ago, but when I try to reinstall, it doesn’t work.
A: Each Install Key can be used for a limited time.  You can get a new Install Key, free of charge, by visiting the Restore Page .  Double check your system date.

The Purchase link above has everything you need.

Make sure the license is for the version you have.  MC17 will work with MC16 from the download page or with MC17, for example.

Copy and paste to avoid typos.
