I just want to thank the makers of this MJ for such a great program. I was using a P.O.S called Roxio (UGH). MJ kicks booty.

I was wondering, does MJ play back ac3 files?
Also, does it support DD 5.1 for DVD play back?
And how do I obtain the software on a licenced disk?

My version is 8.0.394

No on AC3 (at this time).

JRiver Media Center can do JRiver Surround Sound.  No DD.

No on CD distribution, but you can burn it to a CD.

ok, thank you, however, after noticing you have a version higher with more features (ver 9), i d/l it and tried it out.
ver 9 does support ac3. had some troubles tho please c my post in the ver 9 post section of your forums
