Today I rented a double-bladed concrete saw to cut away a section of flagstone/concrete on our upper deck to make way for a dry-stacked stone area wall. The cut was a gentle curve, about 15' in length, with flaring ends that tie into two adjoining pathways. But that's not the reason I post...
After I finished, it was time to enjoy the fruit of my labors, so I picked some outstanding grapefruit from the tree.
I don't know why, but I get a kick out of tending to the trees, shaping them, watching them mature over the years. And the years of care are paying dividends. The grapefruit have gone from small pathetic, thick-leathery skinned, to heavy, sweet, and as you can see, a wonderful shade of orange-pink.
Anyway, just thought I'd share some fruit.
(While the apple came from the yard, I suppose the bananas were from South America.)
