MC15 won't import AIFF file
« on: August 06, 2011, 06:04:25 am »

I downloaded a bunch of tracks from HD Tracks, including a single track off an album, accidentally in AIFF format. MC15 imported all of the FLAC files with as ever no problem, but ignored the AIFF file. I then converted the (AIFF) file to FLAC and tried to re-import, but no luck. I have tried auto import, and import a single file, nothing has worked.

have you "ticked" aiff under auto import ?

if yes try to untick "ignore files previously removed from library"

you can also drag the folder (containing aiff's) onto MC

Tried all three, in MC15 and MC16 trial version. If I open the file frm windows explorer, then both versions play it, just it won't save to the library.....

if you fail to get files imported also when dragging, i guess the files are not proper..

are you sure they are not in the db ? paste this into a smartlist ~d=a sort by filetype

you can also "explore" the folder from inside MC (Drives & Devices), then select the files and click import..

OK I have found them in an album "unassigned", I just copied and pasted into the windows file where MC15 stores the tracks.
Now How to get the album name in place.....

Edit: after a bit of faffing (aka tweaking) I managed to re-import it, and then edit the library track details which has worked. For some reason, HD tracks named it with a 0 in the track title, which confused MC somewhat.
