Switzerland compared to Minnesota!
« on: August 15, 2011, 02:53:19 pm »

Recently I read a newspaper article where Switzerland was compared to Minnesota.

In Zurich you pay for a Big-Mac at McDonalds the amount of 15.19 U$. For that the average worker in Minnesota has to work for 4 hours, the average worker in Zurich just 15 minutes!

They did not explain why the chose Minnesota in particular.

I think the author must have flunked math.

An average hourly wage would be around $17 in MN.

The cost of a Big-Mac in the US varies depending on location, but it is usually less than $4.00. So based on Jim's average hourly wage of around $17 in MN, the average worker has to work less than 15 minutes to buy a Big-Mac in MN.

Maybe the real question is, "why would anyone buy a big-mac?"

I may only eat one in a desert with a horse with no name, if i get a free sprite.
