I had .136 and it picked up my PS Audio Perfect Wave DAC with in a couple of minutes. I have tried .142 on three occaisions and it wont pick it up at all. Anyone got any ideas. All DLNA settings are the same. ?

Did you try power cycling the DAC?

I disconnected the DAC and waited 10 sec then I turned it back on. I got the same result. After an hour or so it still had not picked it up so I went back to .136.

We recently turned off a UDP socket reflection thing so that we wouldn't waste time responding to our own broadcasts.

But I think it may be causing issues with your particular configuration.

Could you explain how your network is setup?

I'm not sure what you mean. I'm not very PC savey. All I can say is I have a wireless router connected to my PC in one room and an access point in my listening room connected to my DAC. The DAC says 'connected'. I use an iPod touch as a remote for the Bridge in the DAC. As I said .136 (and the iPod) pick it up. If you give my more specific instructions for what info you want I will do my best to supply it. Thanks

Please install build 150 from the top of this board.  Confirm that the DAC does not show up.

Then close the program and replace the file JRReader.dll in the install folder with this one:
http://files.jriver.com/temp/JRReader.dll

Does the DAC show up then?

Exit the program.

Then click on the link above and save it in the folder where MC is installed.  For example:

C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center 15

It should show up in the first minute of the program run.

Anyway, glad the mystery is solved.  Future builds will include the fix.

I relaunched J River. It takes up to 5 min to show up just like .136. I can live with that. Thanks again. I like  J River MC. Its the best!

It still takes about 5 min from launch with 16.0.149. I would be happy to try a special build.

160 is at the top of the MC16 board.

I tried .160 but its still the same. I have an app for my DAC on my iPod. After a DAC reboot it comes up right away on the iPod. Just MC takes a while. It may be something to do with my wireless set up. I can run an ethernet cable from my DAC to the modem and see if that makes a difference bur I wont be using that settup in future. What do you think?

It will probably still take five minutes (which is a separate problem), but does it show up at all with the test build?

I tried the special build. It does not show up at all. I launched 15.0.174 just to make sure. It showed up fine. Hope this helped.
