Mom don't think he is going to make it.

As you know He has alzheimer's, and mom said he thinks he is at a restaurant, and they wont let him leave.

she has been having allot of problems with him, and she had to call the police because he was going to hurt her

I hope he makes it, but it is a matter of time really

Mark,
I'm really sorry to hear this.  I wish you and your family the best.  It's got to be really tough on your mom.

Alzheimer's is a person mate. Saw my grandma go down that path and it's painful for all involved.

My thoughts are with you.

yes, he has been slipping for some time.

My mom and dad are in there 80's

I live about 522 miles from home (New jersey)

It is hard to get anything out of my mom because she is not all there also.

I did talk to my sister last night, and tonight She is a licensed nurse so she can grasp more, and talk to the nurses and Dr's and gain more info.

It seems my father was drinking, (Alcoholism runs in our family)

Alcoholism is something I have been battling all my life.

when he ran out of money he started going into DTS (he has no control over the bank account anymore, because of his condition)

When he was at the hosp he started to fight with the Dr's and nurses, and broke up some furniture

during this time he also had a stroke

right now he can not feed or do anything for himself, and he can't go home because my mom can't take care of him in this condition.

he is still in the cardiac department

My Father was put in a rest home today

As I Said He Has Alzheimer's, And Was Drinking

My mom does not allow alcohol in the house, but apparently he was buying it and hiding it in the garage, my sister went up to my mom and dads house and pulled out 3 trash cans full of Vodka bottles he has been hiding in the garage, some of them still full.

He can feed himself OK

He needs help walking, and going to the bathroom etc..

He really is not sure why he is there, he thinks the family is trying to get rid of him

I used to be one of the strong kids in the family, but I have been reduced to crying like a kid Thu the days.

It is hard to see your father, who was once a strong willed, and very smart man lose his memory, and now his physical ability.

The good thing is my sister was able to direct him into a facility, that she worked at, and that is only 3 miles from her house in new jersey.

when I was a kid my dad would take me to the dump and we would pick up some junk radios, and TVs take them back home, and get them working. I often would help him on the kitchen table just for something to do. He also was once the lead tech at the Atlantic Electric Generating Facility, They would call him almost every day he was off to help them fix something at the Electric Plant.

Now he can't put on his socks by him self.
