Oppo DLNA server settings
« on: October 23, 2011, 07:15:16 pm »

The Oppo BDP-93 does not support WinLossless. when I set the audio playback to convert unsupported formats I am able to play the files, but I loose cover art, title, artists, album info. Is there any setting I can adjust to regain the info.

It sounds like the Oppo's parsing the song file for this information from the tags instead of using the data sent in the DLNA content directory for the title. Since there are no tags in the transcoded file I think you are out of luck until they fix it in firmware.

thanks for the response Bob. Although the Oppo is a fine BluRay player, the DLNA support is in need of some additional attention. According to their website and manual: DNLA support is experimental.
