Distortion when using environment in DSP studio.
« on: October 23, 2011, 06:24:01 pm »

I listen to headphones and like how the setting in DSP studio - Effects - Environment - Concert Hall  brings more life and texture to the music.
Problem is that it starts distorting like the volume gain is to high.
I can pretty much only see this with tracks that are mastered with high volume.
Any way to combat this problem?

Make sure you have 'Clip protection' enabled in DSP Studio (lower left).

To be even more conservative, you could use Parametric Equalizer with something like a -6.0 dB volume adjustment so that clip protection would never engage.

Thanks!
That -6db really did the trick.
