"Tremote" really cool but slow...
« on: October 30, 2011, 03:10:19 pm »

Hello,

Tremote had been installed on my system and every transport commands (Play, Stop, FF, Rwd, Etc.) are working perfectly,
but whenever I change a track, an album the system just mute for 15 seconds while displaying the message: "Waiting"
Right now it cannot play a collection of tracks gapless or do crossfade: it has to wait between each and every track.
(Of course all these functions works just great on the sever)

Any idea why?

Thank you.

n.b. My remote for "tremote" is an HP Netbook w. Windows 7 starter, both versions of JRiver Media Player are the same: downloaded last week.

I've never been able to get an answer to a question: whenever I'm using my Netbook as a remote and Im listening in random/shuffle mode (and) automix the server stops right in the middle of the mix for one second - kinda break the mood ! (of a continuous mix)

Thank you.

The link in my signature called "Weird and Wonderful" is a good place to look for ideas.  A gap in the middle of playback is not normal.

MC is waiting for the OS.

A virus checker checking every file opened could do something like that.  A disk spun down could also.

Simplify your system if you can.
