Hello,

First of all excuse my ignorance.  

As I heard that many spy in RealPlayer/RealOne I never installed it.  
So, recently, I got a links with .ra video .ram audio files which should be read by RealPlayer/RealOne.
After investigation, I've install (today 27 march) MJ 8.394. I was surprised, when during this install, MJ asked me to install Windows Media Player (doesn't it recognize my installed 9.0 version?) and RealPlayer (never installed) I skiped both WMP and RP install, thinking there is a plugins included for.

So, when I click on th .ra  link MJ is NOT able to read it, it asking me to insatll RelPlayer.
What wrong I did ?

Installing RealPlayer is what we recommend.

Thanks for yr quick reply.
Sorry to insist, I become confused.

I did never installed RealPlayer because it it will take over and dominate my whole online and multi-media experience, and there's not much you can do about it, it is next to impossible to completely remove without reformatting and re-installing the OS.

So, what MJ value added, if I have to install RealPlayer???

Real Player File Formats Are Controled By Real

I Happen To Think They Suck, And do not play them.

If the file requires Real I just don't bother with it.

RealPlayer V8 is non-intrusive IF you go into it's options and turn everything internet/update related off (you'll still get the upgrade to RealOne thingy when RP is closed).

So I'd...
1) Install RP8
2) Turn all RP options off
3) Reinstall MJ over top of current MJ (w/o uninstalling)...this will repair the file associations that RP grabbed
