Analog cable video averages 5 frames a minute
« on: December 09, 2011, 08:04:33 pm »

Audio fine, video plays one frame every 10-15 seconds. Analog cable with a Pinnacle (PCTV) 801e SE HDTV stick. I'm using ROHQ (RO gives same problem). Why is playback using such strange filters?

If I start time-shifting, most of the problems go away. Is there a method to automatically start time-shifting on analog playback?

How are you starting time-shifting?

Right-click, TV  Options > Start time-shifting.

Option to start in time-shifting mode for analog tuners is on my list.  So is building non-time-shifting graphs in line with Red October.

I don't have any "right click" options on anything related to TV. The only thing I see is the Time Shifting settings on the TV settings/configuration page (such as Amount: 1 Hour, Save on Stop: No) etc. There is no place I can find to right click to turn off Time Shifting (assuming that I am looking for a "ON, OFF" or "START, STOP" choice). Is this still a choice when both Tuners are configured as Digital?

Right-click menus are available when you are watching a channel.  Right-click anywhere inside the video window.
