I'm deflated that I can't get my DVD Profiler data into MC.
I'm not familiar with DVD Profiler, but I understand it has a CSV Export plugin. Whatever that exports (all meta data except images, I assume) can be loaded in Excel.
Track Year Lookup is an Excel VBA application. It's for a completely unrelated purpose, but among it's necessary functions is the ability to write data in a worksheet to an MPL playlist. Importing an MPL playlist imports all the data recorded in it for which there are matching fields in MC.
While this technique won't handle images, the plugin will export cover locations. Excel can be used to create a batch file to copy the covers "beside" the video files (or in a movie's folder) where it will be seen and used by MC.
This would be challenging if you're not familiar with Excel, and probably too tedious for the ongoing support of a DVD Profiler database, but it should be an effective solution for the one-time import of a collection.
