Windows 7 Taskbar Progress Plug-In v. 0.8.1
« on: December 15, 2011, 08:26:20 pm »

Here are the release notes:

Fixes some minor bugs, introduces some major name changes.

**** NOTE, PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BELOW ****

You must uninstall the old version of the Media Center Aero Taskbar Plugin before installing the new version.  Conflicts between the two may cause MAJOR issues.

To uninstall the old version:
1. Click on the Windows Start Icon
2. Click on "All Programs"
3. Navigate to "MC Jumpbar Plugin"
4. Click "Uninstall Plugin"

And dee link:

And some screenshot goodness:

Fabricio, I have an "unofficial" new build available that rick.ca had a little bit of success with.  It's available at http://www.devedcomputers.com/MediaCenterAddOns/MC_Aero_Taskbar_Plugin.exe.  Let me know if this works.

Using the unofficial build, cover art was not working for me.

I keep the majority of my art in a designated folder, not in the tags.

I tried playing some files that did have embedded art, and woohoo!, coverart displayed in the peek. Now, having done that, all art appears to be working. I have closed MC, including server, and restarted, and the art still shows.

Seems like, for whatever reason, it needed some embedded art to chew on first.

Fabricio, I have an "unofficial" new build available that rick.ca had a little bit of success with.

I'm not sure why you're saying that. For me it did nothing more than the official version, but displayed more issues (namely, flickering when used with a non-standard-sized preview, and disabling of the taskbar). Fabricio should try it, but not because of my experience.

I tried with both installers. Enable Cover art disable all the others features.
Also I try with Covers from a separate image and embedded images, still don't work.
Any help? Maybe because I'm using Windows x64?

I'm on an x64 system as well, so that isn't the root cause.  I'm going to try to approach this problem with a bulldozer, see if that will work.  You'll have a new build to test out in a few days hopefully.  In the meantime, your skin looks great!  Can't wait to download it!
