track mode incompatible with existing track types
« on: May 18, 2002, 02:25:44 am »

I've downloaded an evaluation copy of MJ and like it a lot - not as infuriatingly obtrusive as Real Player. However, I seem to be having the same problem as many others. I can't rip CDs, I just get the "track mode incompatible with existing track types" whatever I do. Reading all of the forum threads seems to suggest that this is a problem with LG drives. Has anyone solved it yet?

I have no problem with recording with Create CD, Nero Burning, and even Real Player. Does Version 8 work?? I want to sort this out before buying the full version.

Tried with and without generic driver (restarted MJ)
Disabled 'Auto insert notification' for Easy CD Creator (checked registry, Autorun=0)
Installed latest ASPI layer from Adaptec

Try 8.0.  It supports more drives.

8.0 seem to have made all the difference, all working now. Many thanks!
