Gizmo controlling HTPC

When using gizmo to control my HTPC everything works fine whilst using gizmo to do all the controlling (play, stop, next etc), but when I use my remote control to control the HTPC directly things go pear shaped. It seems that gizmo doesn't want to concede control and no matter how many times I press 'stop' on my remote control, a few seconds later the next song in the album starts playing. Even if I queue up a movie using my remote control, gizmo will sandwich it in with the currently playing album and then start playing songs again. The only way to stop it is by stopping playback on gizmo itself, or force closing MC.

Anyone else seeing this?
