Web Service and the Composer field
« on: December 22, 2011, 06:06:55 am »

I've been told by a developer that the composer field is not made available in the Web Service.

Is it possible to add this so the remote apps that are coming out are capable of displaying this information?

Many of us classical folk don't use the Artist field. It would be nice to have the composer field available in the Web Service so that if the Artist field is empty, the Composer field could be shown instead.

Possible?

This would be useful for me as well. In fact why not make all database fields optionally available?

Including the composer and work in the name field as well as the movement gives a hideously long name tag that usually gets truncated. Having the ability to show custom fields would improve the interface no end.
