Hi..

WHen I work on a file via Sound Forge or any other program I normaile it first for best results, I notice when converting a file in MJ your given the option to normalize 90% first.

Is it better to do that?

I'm sure it's a matter of opinion, but it seems to me one would lose some of the work they did if the did normalize before converting....

What do you think is best?

normalizing may introduce some noice into the the file.

it may be better to use the new option in mj8 replay gain, and leave the direct rip from the cd-rom raw.
