DLNA Blu Ray?
« on: December 27, 2011, 04:12:13 pm »

Has anyone found a DLNA enabled BluRay player that plays nice with MC17?

I guess no replies means the answer is no. I'm looking for the easiest way for my girlfriend to watch her movies, look at her photos, and listen to her music through her TV and sound system. Files are on her desktop in another room. Desktop is running MC17. Since she doesn't have a BluRay player and some of the new ones are DLNA enabled, I thought I would get her one for Christmas. The day has passed, but the problem remains. I know there are many ways to stream with MC, but she is not good with this stuff and suffice to say it needs to be very simple to operate (I can handle the setting-up). Can anyone suggest the most reliable, simple to operate set-up to do this? Boxee? Popcorn hour? WD box?
Many Thanks for the benefit of your expertise and experience,

The WD TV Live device works well for this.

The Samsung BD-C6500 works well too and it's pushable IIRC (it's a renderer, not just a player).

I could have sworn the 6500 was pushable but it's not according to DLNA.ORG.
