"Ignore Folder.jpg" in auto-import option?
« on: December 27, 2011, 11:26:59 pm »

What exactly is the point of the checkbox "Ignore Folder.jpg" in the auto-import option? Why would I want to ignore that, if that's where the cover art is during import?

This probably was an added option shortly after support was added for Images.  While cover art is referenced in audio tracks, most users probably don't want their cover art mixed in with their Images.

A more general per-import folder exclusion list might be useful, some day.

So if I uncheck it, the album art images won't be imported during auto-import? I would have manually add all the cover art later?

No cover art WILL be imported.

Un-checking it means that it won't be imported as an Image (seperate from your music) and end up as content in the "Images" section of J River.
I have it un-checked and all of my Folder.jpg files in the same directory as the music it's associated with, ends up as cover art.

If you uncheck the file type of Image for your media folder I'm pretty sure the "Ignore Folder.jpg" option has no influence anyway.
