When I play an album the first song repeats before the second song starts and so on. How do I stop these repeats?

Sound like you have Repeat Current Item selected. The Repeat option is at the end of the track position bar; or you can access it from the menu bar at Player > Repeat.

Not sure if I should start a new thread, or bump this one.....dunno....but I found this on a search for the problem I'm having, so I might as well "bump".

I'm having this problem as well. But not on the main Media Player, only when I'm using Gizmo through my Android (Samsung Gaxaxy 10.1) to send music to another room. It will only play the same song, over and over. I have to press the 'next' button on Gizmo to get it to advance. The 'Repeat Current Item' is not selected, but if I'm playing the exact same list of songs, it will not repeat on the main player, only the secondary player through Gizmo/Android.

The way I explain that make sense?  ?
