Convert playlist OGG->MP3 w/IDTags???
« on: May 12, 2002, 06:11:07 am »

I am using MJ 7.2.280 stored in the OGG format. I would like to convert an entire play-list (about 250 songs) to MP3 for my CD MP3 player in my camper.
My MP3 player (AIWA-CDCMP32) is capable of displaying 30 characters for
Track or artists name using ID3TAG version 1.x.  I have used the convert
Feature to convert them to MP3 but the tags do not reflect the track name, number or artist name. I need MJ during the convert process to update the ID tags in the target
file being converted from the information stored in MJ’s database regarding the
track name artist name etc. My question is how can I get MJ to do this in the conversion or is this manual process??

Thanks much Paul

My advice would be to use the latest Media Jukebox release. It tends to do a better job copying tags on conversions that anything previous. Look for the "new beta released 8.0.270, etc." in the forum. The upgrade link is there.

But first install the _complete_ 8.0 package from our downloads page, then do the update.
