media centre 16 security upgrade required

can anybody throw any light on this development.
have just reinstalled mc16 after new motherboard and now mc16 locks up with an overiding message " security upgrade required"?
seems to be linked with drm issues?// ?

Windows Media DRM?   Try playing them with WMP.

hi and thanks yr reply.
i have thousands of tracks which is why i dont use wmp but in any case this message occurs even before i have selected any tracks to play as well as locking up so i dont know which is the culprit?

It may happen on auto import.  Using WMP might install new components.  The Microsoft site has other alternative methods.
