Playback Garbled after rebuffering [Solved]
« on: February 19, 2012, 08:15:05 pm »

Occasionally when there is a gap in the internet radio stream and MC re-buffers the sound is garbled and has to be reset and then its fine again.
I am using a windows pc with a HRT music streamerII with WASAPI and 24 bit 96k output which sounds great most of the time
This happens about once an hour and becomes quite painfull in extended listening.
Previously when using Foobar 2000 the stream would also occasionally drop out but resume OK once it had re bufferd.
Any help in solving this would be really appreciated as MC is otherwise a great program but this is a real deal breaker.

I also experience garbled playback on a regular basis.  It happens when playing music from my hard drive and irregardless of file type, bit rate, etc.  I hope there is a solution - otherwise, a deal breaker for sure.

Please try WASAPI - Event Style.  It's more reliable with USB DACs, when the hardware supports it.

That looks to have fixed things and ended my frustrations with MC.
I feel confident to buy MC now Thanks.

Same here.  I switched to WASAPI -Event and problem solved.  Excellent support from JRiver Tech folks.
